How is laser liposuction performed?
Laser liposuction is usually performed on an outpatient basis at Orange County CoolSculpting ® by CoolSculpting ® technician. You will most likely be provided general anesthesia. You will also likely be able to go home on the same day as your laser liposuction treatment.
CoolSculpting ® technician will use the laser to heat targeted fat for reduction. The fat then liquefies and is suctioned from the body using a suctioning device. While the fat is being heated by the laser, skin also benefits. The skin is warmed enough to provide smoother surface results after laser liposuction, when compared to other forms of lipo fat reduction.
When your laser liposuction is completed, you will be able to go home for recovery. Within several days or about a week, you will be able to go to work and start resuming normal daily routine. It will be several weeks before you can exercise or participate in strenuous activities, but life can resume a normal pace within a week or two following laser liposuction.
Swelling after your procedure can be controlled through use of compression garments. These garments also reduce pain by stabilizing the treated area and enabling better healing. You will be swollen, bruised and in some discomfort for several days, although each of these side effects of laser liposuction grow less significant with each passing day.
